Technique to care for your Chi energy - This exercise is good for people who have cold extremities and poor circulation, because it stimulates the movement of chi into your legs and feet.



Lie on your back, preferably on a mat or carpet, and extend your legs toward the ceiling, with your knees comfortably bent.

Make circles in the air with your feet for about thirty seconds, first turning them one way, then the opposite way.

Next, shake your legs loosely, up and down, for about thirty seconds.

Then, close and open your toes ten times. Lower your legs to the floor and take a few slow, deep breaths.

Repeat this series of exercises three times.

Technique to care for your Chi energy - Like the previous exercise, this one stimulates the flow of chi through the lower part of your body. Stand straight with your arms at your sides.

Bend your right knee, and lift your knee up toward your chest as high as you can without straining.

Return to a standing position, then bend your left knee, and lift your knee toward your chest as high as you can without straining.

Repeat this series of knee lifts twenty-one times (or as often as is comfortable for you).

Stamp Your Feet

Technique to care for your Chi energy - This exercise activates the acupressure points in your feet and stimulates the movement of chi throughout your body.

Remove your shoes and stamp your feet on the floor twenty times.

You don't have to stamp hard, just enough to "wake up" the soles of your feet.
