Common Usages

This herb is used in formulas to treat copious sweating, leaking urine and sperm, pain in the lower back and knees, dizziness, poor hearing, ringing in the ears, prolonged menstruation, and in extreme cases, shock (TCM: "leaking" Essence).

Traditional Usages and Functions

Stabilizes Kidneys and Liver, and contains Essence; stabilizes menses and stops bleeding; stops excessive sweating and supports that which has collapsed.

Common Formulas Used In

Anemarrhena, Phellodendron, and Rehmannia; Eight Immortal Long Life Pill; Rehmannia and Dogwood Fruit; Rehmannia and Magnetitum; Rehmannia Eight; Rehmannia Six.
