Dried Shrimps, Beancurd & Corn Silks Soup
This soup is fragrant with tasty meat. It eases indigestion, reduces water retention, expels heat and replenishes iodine and calcium. It is good for oedema, scrofula and goiter. It helps toprevent diabetes patients from having arteriosclerosis. It is also useful for children and old people suffering from calcium deficiency.

|27g||dried shrimps 虾糠(细虾)|
|113g||corn silks 粟米须|
|3 pieces||beancurd 豆腐|
|2 tsps||glutinous rice wine 黄酒(糯米酒)|
|2 tsps||light soy sauce 酱油|
|a few drops||Sesame oil 麻油|
- Cook corn silks in water for 20 minutes. Discard corn silks and keep the soup.
- Soak dried shrimps in wine in a soup pot until soft. Pour in water and cook for 5 minutes. Add blanched beancurd. Pour in the liquid of cooking corn silks from step 1. Add seasoning and bring to the boil. Sprinkle with torn lavar bits. Serve.
