This herb is used in formulas to treat spontaneous bleeding from nose, uterus, and Lungs, and blood in urine (TCM: heat in Blood); also used to treat dizziness, blurred vision, ringing in the ears, premature graying of hair, vertigo, loss of teeth, and sore back and knees (TCM: deficient Liver and Kidney Yin syndromes).
